1. Abstract
The hotel industry generates a large amount of data related to bookings, customer information, and hotel performance. Analyzing this data helps hotel managers understand customer behavior, booking trends, and overall business performance.
This project focuses on creating a Hotel Booking Analysis Dashboard using Microsoft Power BI. The dataset used in this project is stored in an Excel worksheet and contains information such as booking ID, hotel name, booking date, arrival date, number of nights, number of guests, distribution channel, customer type, country, and deposit type.
The project begins with importing the dataset into Power BI, followed by data cleaning and preparation. During this process, unnecessary or empty columns are removed, and the data is organized to make it suitable for analysis.
After preparing the dataset, a Power BI dashboard is created to perform time series analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to hotel bookings. The dashboard allows users to visualize trends in bookings over time, understand customer distribution across countries, and analyze different booking channels and customer types.
This project demonstrates how Power BI can transform raw hotel booking data into meaningful insights through interactive dashboards and visualizations.
