The Rainfall Prediction System is a machine learning-based application designed to predict rainfall using historical weather and atmospheric data. The system analyzes parameters such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, cloud cover, and previous rainfall patterns to predict future rainfall conditions. Machine learning models are trained on historical meteorological data to identify patterns and generate predictions. The system can support farmers, agricultural planners, and other users in making better decisions related to irrigation, crop planning, and water management.
In the existing system, rainfall prediction primarily depends on traditional weather forecasting techniques, meteorological observations, historical records, and expert analysis. Although these methods can provide useful forecasts, processing large amounts of weather data manually can be complex.
The proposed Rainfall Prediction System uses machine learning algorithms to predict rainfall based on historical and current weather parameters. Users can provide information such as temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, cloud cover, and historical rainfall. The trained machine learning model processes these inputs and generates a rainfall prediction.
Depending on the dataset and prediction objective, algorithms such as Random Forest, Decision Tree, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, XGBoost, or other suitable models can be used.

Collect historical weather datasets containing rainfall records and relevant atmospheric parameters.
Clean the dataset by handling missing values, duplicate records, inconsistent data, and outliers where appropriate.
Analyze relationships between rainfall and parameters such as temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed, and cloud cover.
Select the most relevant weather features for rainfall prediction.
Divide the dataset into training and testing datasets.
Train suitable machine learning classification or regression models depending on the prediction target.
Evaluate the model using appropriate metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, MAE, RMSE, or R² score, depending on the problem formulation.
Select the best-performing model based on evaluation results.
Integrate the trained model into a web or desktop application.
Allow users to enter weather parameters and generate the predicted rainfall result.
